Charity

The WBC, being the largest sport governing body, uses it's goal presence to help children around the
world. Sporting Chances continues this ethos by providing community based schemes to help the young people in our society. Boxing has long been an excellent vehicle to reach out to the venerable, at risk, and offending youth. The discipline, dedication and focus required in the sport makes it the perfect vehicle for young people to learn transferable life skills that can really make a difference, giving them the tools to make a positive change and a platform for success.
We provide boxing based courses for a variety of people with the aim of helping them make positive changes in their lives, and not only improve their own life but that of others around them, therefore becoming a valuable tax paying member of society rather than a drain on the public resource.
All our courses use proven methods and principles to impart valuable information to participants enabling them to gain the valuable life skills they so desperately need. Although the courses are boxing based, participants will also get the opportunities and education they may otherwise not, giving them a 'Sporting Chance' in life.
We use Local, National and International role models to deliver key messages, lifestyle skills and inspire them to a better future. Many former WBC world champions offer their services in their role as WBC ambassadors.
WBC Sporting Chances provide courses from motivational or inspiration speaking days, right up to 8 week intensive training courses; there is something for everyone. We always engage with the local community, governing bodies and professional bodies, such as the Police and the Probation service, but we don’t just leave it there! Everyone who attends one of our courses receives an individual assessment of their needs, aims and objectives. In this way we can then use our contacts within the community and professional bodies to guide them in a direction that best suits their individual needs.
